A INFLUÊNCIA DAS NOTÍCIAS FALSAS NA ADESÃO À VACINAÇÃO POR JOVENS ADULTOS
Abstract
Objective: To analyze the influence of false news on adherence to vaccination by young adults of a university in the ci ty of Maceió. Method: This is an exploratory survey based on the analysis of answers to a questionnaire with questions related to the vaccination theme for students regularly enrolled in one of the undergraduate courses of the Centro Universitário Tiradentes (UNIT-AL) morning, evening and evening shifts during the second semester of 2020. Results: Although everyone believes in the importance of vaccinating, a worrying amount of approximately 23% feared the vaccine under the influence of some false news conveyed in the most diverse virtual environments, whether through social networks as well as official newspapers and government websites. Conclusión: The research concludes that participants have a positive perception of the importance of vaccination, and much of this positive perception is given by access to privileged information because they are inserted in a higher education institution and are instructed by health professionals. However, a small group reported that they may have fears about vaccination after contact with false news, which becomes something of extreme importance and concern for public health.Downloads
