This article has as its theme the vulnerability of rural workers. Its general objective will be to investigate the vulnerabilities of the rural worker that result in working conditions analogous to slavery. To this end, it was developed, through deductive reasoning, a review of descriptive, theoretical, and qualitative literature, from indirect documentary sources partially systematized. As a result, it became evident that, despite the protection of the Brazilian legal system to rural workers, they are vulnerable. Different ways of manifesting his vulnerability were identified, such as business, hierarchical, technical, social, psychic, and legal. In research, it was found that the form of autonomous hiring feeds back into the intrinsic and relational vulnerabilities of the rural worker. In conclusion, this research confirmed his hypothesis, since vulnerability and over-subordination are causes of work analogous to slavery in Brazil.
