Abstract

This paper illustrates the analyses resulting from the engagement with one of the social workers at the Alfonso Casas Morales Foundation for Human Promotion in the city of Bogotá D.C. (Colombia). This engagement, through the participant observation method, aimed to understand and comprehend the social intervention process that underpins the professional's work. This study is oriented towards linking and confronting the theoretical elements that characterize the category of Social Intervention with a social reality composed of actors, contexts, institutions, among others, that influence the intervention process in Social Work.
