This study aimed to analyze the impact of financial education on resource management among young university students. The research adopted a qualitative and exploratory approach, using the multiple case study method with ten students from different courses, through semi-structured interviews. Data analysis was conducted based on the content analysis technique. The results indicate that most university students have basic or intermediate knowledge of financial concepts, such as budgeting, savings, debt, and investments. Despite the gap in formal education, many demonstrate an effort to apply conscious financial practices, such as using spreadsheets, controlling expenses, and searching for information in digital sources. The use of credit cards is common, but usually surrounded by caution. It was observed that the knowledge acquired, even if informal, positively influenced the financial behavior of the participants, promoting greater autonomy and responsibility in decision-making. However, the authors emphasize that technical knowledge, although necessary, is not enough. Emotional and contextual factors, such as self-control and family socialization, also significantly impact financial practices. It is concluded that the systematic inclusion of financial education in school and university curricula is essential to educate individuals who are better prepared to manage their resources. The research contributes to the field of Administration by suggesting educational policies and pedagogical strategies that promote financial literacy and the development of socioeconomic skills.
