Abstract

This work addresses the topic of neuropsychopedagogical interventions for students with attention difficulties in the classroom. This interdisciplinary approach combines knowledge from neuroscience, cognitive psychology and pedagogy with the purpose of understanding the relationships between brain functioning, cognitive processes and the learning process. The overall goal of this approach is to provide students with attention difficulties with the tools and strategies they need to fully engage in the learning process and reach their full potential. The methodology adopted to carry out this study involved a detailed literature review on studies and research related to neuropsychopedagogical complications for students with attention difficulties. The results of this review revealed that Neuropsychopedagogy presents valuable strategies to help students with attention difficulties. Among the main approaches, the implementation of mindfulness techniques and mindfulness practices to develop students' ability to focus stands out. However, it is important to highlight that this study does not exhaust the discussion on the topic, and new research and practical implementations are necessary to improve and expand knowledge in this area. Actions such as the training of educators, the inclusion of Neuropsychopedagogy in the pedagogical projects of higher education courses and collaboration between governments and education professionals are suggested to promote a more efficient and equitable education for all students.
