This study investigates how artificial intelligence can be used to reduce judicial backlog by analyzing its applicability in the legal system and its contribution to precedent management. It also examines the role of precedents in the standardization of jurisprudence and evaluates the efficiency of the AI implemented by the Maranhão State Court (TJMA) in optimizing the work of court staff. The research adopts a methodology based on bibliographic and documentary review, including the study of articles, books, theses, ordinances, and regulatory norms issued by the TJMA. The findings show that the use of the Maria Firmina AI significantly contributes to the standardization of decisions, the reduction of case processing time, and the rationalization of tasks performed by judges and court staff, reinforcing both legal predictability and certainty. It is concluded that, when properly applied and supervised, artificial intelligence represents a valuable tool for enhancing the modernization and efficiency of the Judiciary.
